By day, Cebu construction worker Reynaldo Pellonio earns a living through hard physical work. But during his free time, he takes on another job without expecting payment: cleaning roads and public spaces in his community. Armed with a grass cutter, bolo, and broom, he removes overgrown grass, branches, moss, and other hazards that can make roads unsafe.

His efforts have earned him the nickname “cleanfluencer,” but for Reynaldo, it is not simply about gaining views or reactions online. He says his goal is to help keep people safe while encouraging others to become more disciplined, especially when it comes to properly disposing of garbage. His simple cleanups show how one person can make a visible difference without waiting for a large project or organization to begin.

Reynaldo knows he cannot clean every road in Cebu, but he continues working on the places within his reach. Through his actions, he hopes more people will learn to care for their surroundings and realize that cleaner communities can start with small individual efforts. His story is a reminder that meaningful change can begin with something as simple as picking up a broom and choosing to help.
